Quiet Splendor

I found this itsie-bitsie spider on the banks of the Row River in western Oregon in April 2005. While most spiders appear menacing to me, this delicate white lady drew me in. Her purple stripes complimenting the hues of her flower made quite a fashion statement. Yes, beauty can be found in unexpected places. Yet, she was so timid, so shy. Quiet Splendor. The magnificent aqua-teal hues of the river flowed through luminous ancient gray boulders behind her. Amazing beauty. Amazing Artist.

"Thank You, Lord," whispered my heart.

"I'm so glad you noticed," He replied with a smile. "I knew you'd like it."
